Cultural Institutions

Detroit Institute of Art | Boasting over 60,000 pieces, the DIA has the most comprehensive collection of art in the Detroit metropolitan area. Don’t miss out on the 50th Anniversary Exhibition showcasing the collected works of the Friends of Prints, Drawings, and Photographs.

Detroit Historical Museum | Featuring diverse exhibits, from the rise of the automotive industry to the Underground Railroad, the museum offers rich insights into the history of the Motor City. Also, admission is free!

Motown Historical Museum | Detroit is the home of Aretha Franklin, Madonna and Diana Ross. Check out this museum to see Motown’s first recording studio, as well as one of Michael Jackson’s hats.

Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit | If you’re a fan of contemporary artists, check out MoCAD. The museum offers several exhibits, as well as free events — including talks from visiting artists.



Detroit Vegan Soul | Located in Detroit’s historic West Village, this local restaurant offers a vegan twist on classic soul food.

La Feria | Founded by three friends, La Feria celebrates the local cuisine of Seville, Spain — straight from the heart of Michigan.

Wright & Company | Wright & Company is where new meets old. Located in an 1891 brownstone, the restaurant offers a contemporary spin on American cuisine.
