We are excited to bring SAWA conversations to Facebook Groups. We moved the members-only groups from LinkedIn to Facebook to make them easier to use.

How do I get started on Facebook?
The first step in getting started on Facebook is logging into your profile. If you already have a Facebook account, all you need to do is log in. If not, you can learn how to join, find out how to post and share, and read some common myths about Facebook.
Where can I find SAWA Groups?
Search for Society of Animal Welfare Administrators: General Discussion and/or Society of Animal Welfare Administrators: Executive Leadership Forum using the search bar at the top of the page. Be sure to to type the group names exactly as they appear here or you won’t be able to find them.
How do I make sure I receive all of the notifications from SAWA Facebook Groups?
To be notified of all of the SAWA posts in the group, you have to turn on notifications.
To turn them on, click the arrow above the post and and select Get Notifications. If you change your mind, select Stop Notifications. Notifications are automatically turned on for posts you write or comment on.
Note: You can adjust the notifications you receive from group activity by editing your notifications settings for the group. Read more about how to set up notifications here.
How do I personalize the notifications I receive?
After you’ve joined the appropriate SAWA group, go to the group page and click Notifications in the right corner underneath the group cover photo. If you don’t select your notifications preference, Facebook will only show you highlights from the group’s posts, rather than everything happening in the group. How do I participate in the SAWA Facebook Groups?
To post to a group, go to the group and then click the box that says “Write something…”
You can use the text box to ask a question, post a photo, or upload a file to share. You can even tag another group member in your post! Read more about participating in Facebook Groups here.
How do I search for posts in a group?
In Facebook Groups, you can conveniently search for past conversations. To find what you’re looking for, go to the group and click Search this group in the top-right corner. Next, enter names or keywords that appear in either the post or the comments of the post you’re searching for. You can learn more about Group Basics here.
